Twelve [12] Bottles [750mL] French Wines, including one bottle [750mL] Clos De L’oratoire 1999 Saint-Emilion (Grand Cru Classé), one bottle [750mL] Château Le Gay 1989 Pomerol Mise Du Château Bordeaux; and two bottles [750mL] each:
- Château Leoville-Las Cases ‘Grand Vin de Leoville’ 1994 Saint-Julien
- E. Guigal 1990 Hermitage
- Château Clos L’Eglise 2000 Grand Vin de Bordeaux
- Château Lynch Bages 1999 Pauillac (Grand Cru Classé)
- M. Chapoutier 1991 Ermitage Le Pavillon – rated 100 by Robert Parker!!
For the French wine lover, a dozen impressive bottles!! First, Clos De L’oratoire 1999 Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Comtes de Neipperg rated 91 by Robert Parker, 90 by Wine Spectator, and 90 by Antonio Galloni. This opaque purple-colored St.-Emilion is one of the stars of the vintage. The wine exhibits aromas of new saddle leather, damp earth, blackberries, incense, cassis, and toast. An intriguing tapenade note emerges with airing. It is full-bodied, with sweet tannin, low acidity, and impressive concentration. Ready to enjoy now!
The 1989 Château Le Gay Pomerol Bordeaux Wine is one of the finest Le Gays, this dark plum/purple-colored 1998 exhibits an earthy, truffle, smoke, iron, graphite, black cherry, and plum-scented bouquet. It is less rustic, with sweeter tannin than normal, fleshier, riper, more concentrated fruit, medium to full body, and a long, spicy finish. Rated 95 by Wine Spectator and 94 by James Suckling.
Château Leoville-Las Cases ‘Grand Vin de Leoville’ 1994 Saint-Julien was rated 93 by Robert Parker. He stated: “Michel Delon, a great man, is the consummate proprietor, meticulously administering this vast estate spread out along the St.-Julien/Pauillac border, separated from Latour’s finest vineyard by a mere ten feet. The 1993-95 vintages from Delon are brilliant wines. Leoville-Las-Cases remains one of the irrefutable reference points for high-class Bordeaux. One of the more massive Medocs of the vintage, this opaque purple-colored wine exhibits fabulous richness and volume in the mouth. Layers of pure black cherry and cassis fruit are intermixed with stony, mineral-like scents, as well as high-quality toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied, with a sweet, rich entry, this wine possesses plenty of tannin, yet fabulous extract, and length. Leoville-Las-Cases is one of the half-dozen great wines of the Medoc in 1994. This lion never falls asleep on the job!” Drink now through 2025.
Guigal 1990 Hermitage was rated 93 by Wine Spectator and 90 by Robert Parker. The Guigal family owns no vineyards in Hermitage, but meticulously purchases wine that has been vinified by the grower according to the Guigal formula. Guigal produces his red Hermitage from 100% Syrah, refusing to blend in the 15% white wine permitted by law. Guigal does not fine the wine and will not filter it if it falls brilliant naturally by virtue of its very long aging (three years) in wooden barrels and large foudres. He is a believer in long wood aging for Syrah, learning from his father that extended cask and foudre aging for Syrah usually leads to a softer, more complex wine. Consequently, he is always the last to bottle his red Hermitage. This vintage exhibits a nose of intense peppery, jammy, black-raspberry fruit intertwined with scents of smoke, vanillin, and spices. With full body, great depth of fruit, purity, and considerable tannin in the finish, it is already approachable because of its long aging in foudres and small barrels. This is a rich, thick, concentrated wine.
Château Clos L’Eglise 2000 Grand Vin de Bordeaux was rated 96 by Jeb Dunnuck, 92 by Antonio Galloni, and 90 by Robert Parker. “The outstanding 2000 Clos L’Eglise boasts a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a sumptuous bouquet of espresso roast intermixed with creme de cassis, blackberries, and licorice. The wine is rich, textured, succulent, and impressively pure and long. (The finish goes on for a good 40+ seconds.) This is serious stuff and a sleeper of the vintage.”- Robert Parker.
Château Lynch Bages 1999 Pauillac (Grand Cru Classé) was rated 90 by Robert Parker and 90 by Antonio Galloni. “A charming, lush, round, generous Lynch Bages, the 1999 offers plenty of sweet black currant fruit, damp earth, licorice, cedarwood and spicy herb-like characteristics. Medium-bodied, savory and broad in the mouth with no hard edges, this fully mature effort is a somewhat underrated vintage for this estate.”- Robert Parker.
All fabulous, however, the star of this lot is certainly the 100-point (Robert Parker) M. Chapoutier 1991 Ermitage Le Pavillon “…is a Le Pavilion of mythical proportions. Produced from extremely old vines, some dating from the mid-nineteenth century, with yields averaging under 15 hectoliters per hectare, this is the richest, most concentrated and profound wine made in Hermitage. The 1991 Ermitage Le Pavilion follows the pattern of the 1989 and 1990-it is another perfect wine. The saturated black/purple color is followed by a compelling bouquet of spices, roasted meats, and black and red fruits. Enormously concentrated yet with brilliant focus and delineation to its awesomely endowed personality, this extraordinary wine should age effortlessly for three plus decades. Very powerful and full, yet displaying silky tannin, this is a seamless beauty!”- Robert Parker. Drink now through 2035.

Shortly after, they purchased their estate vineyard in the Willow Creek District of west Paso Robles and with the bottling of the 2006 vintage, Torrin became a reality. Today, this small family-owned winery continues to make limited quantities of some of the areas most sought-after wines. With an emphasis on Rhone Varietals grown exclusively in rocky hillside soils, Torrin wines are hallmarked by the impressive depth and complexity displayed in their youth, as well as their remarkable ability to age with grace and finesse for well over a decade. Complementing their Rhone lineup of wines, the Hawleys also produce small lots of beautifully balanced Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from unique sites in Santa Barbara County for the Torrin “Lagom” collection. Guests won’t leave there empty-handed; they will receive 3 magnum bottles!
Travel just a few minutes down the Peachy Canyon corridor to Six Mile Bridge where you all will enjoy a “sensory” tasting experience with a small Bordeaux producer at their newly built winery and vineyards. Family-owned Sixmilebridge is Paso Robles’s preeminent producer of small-lot estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. Winemaker Anthony Yount is one of the most revered winemakers in Paso Robles, and his wines have been named some of the best in the world by Wine Spectator. Guests experience unmatched hospitality in the tasting room, patio, or the private oak-shaded deck, where one host will serve you and your group exclusively. Additionally, Six Mile Bridge offers a wonderful outdoor picnicking experience area under their historical oak. Guests can arrange to have their lunch order delivered. And you will leave with a selection of wines from past vintages.
Finishing the day at one of the most beautiful wineries on the central coast, Law Estate, with wonderful hilltop views of the rolling hills of Paso Robles. Don and Susie Law had a dream to find a special place, where they could grow ultra-premium, world-class Rhone wines. Their quest was fulfilled when they found, what they describe as “the Holy Grail,” 400 acres of land, reaching 1950feet of elevation, in Paso Robles’ Adelaida District, surrounded by and overlooking awe-inspiring views. Land was purchased in 2006, and the architecturally designed modern, welcoming Tasting Room opened their doors in 2013, with the introduction of the 2010 vintage, crafted by Scott Hawley. Immediately recognized by the wine world, which included scores of 92-95 from Robert Parker, Law was on its way to cementing itself as an elite, ultra-premium brand. Susie and Don Law know that wine drinking is enhanced by a unique experience, one that incorporated all the senses. A tasting at Law will provide an elevated appreciation to what it means to sit back, relax, learn, sample, and enjoy elegant, premium wines in an intimate, welcoming venue…. Where your senses will be heightened and enriched. Guests will receive a tour of their pristine, partially underground facility, and collect several bottles donated by the winery.
Now, the second day!! Start off at Benom where you and your guests will receive a tour and tasting. Benom Winery is the infinite expression of what the central coast of California has to offer in harmony with the innately skilled craft of the Fabre brothers. French winemaker Guillome started this project with his brother Arnaud as a sister brand to the very successful boutique Clos Solene. The brothers moved from France over a decade ago. Arnaud and Guillaume Fabre moved to California for Love. For Guillaume, it was his love of winemaking and farming without limits that brought him to Paso Robles, where he began making wine for one of the most prestigious wineries in Paso Robles, L’Aventure. This passion eventually lead him to start his own brand of immaculate wine, Clos Solene. You won’t leave empty-handed here either as you will receive a selection of their highly sought-after, limited-release wines.
NEXT, visit one of Paso’s long-established wineries from another French-producing family with close family ties to Clos Solene winery. L’Aventure was founded in 1998 by a French winemaker, Stephan Asseo. L’Aventure is located on the west side of Paso Robles in the Willow Creek District. Here you will tour their underground cave system, and taste some wonderful wines from their recent vintage.
PLUS, the winning bidder will take home three magnums [1.5L] L’Aventure Estate Cuvee (2018-2020) to help get them excited for this amazing 2-day experience! Earning ratings of 100- Jeb Dunnuck, 98- James Suckling, 97- Antonio Galloni, and 95- Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate; the L’Aventure Estate Cuvee 2018 checks 45% Syrah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot brought up in 90% new French oak. Tasting like the straight Cab, yet with more sex appeal, it offers a huge nose of crème de cassis, white flowers, crushed stone, graphite, and crushed flowers. This carries to a full-bodied, gorgeously textured red with incredible balance, no hard edges, a thrilling mid-palate, and a great, great finish.
You’ll end your day at Booker, this beautiful new facility will give guests a tour of their caves and private tasting as well as a selection of unavailable library wines. Eric and Lisa Jensen purchased 100 acres of the property in 2001 with the intent of growing the best fruit for some of the best wineries in the area. After making wine with Justin Smith (of Saxum) for five years and Stephan Asseo (of L’Aventure Wines) for two years the Jensens decided it was time to create their own expression with Booker Vineyard. The 2005 Vintage was Booker Vineyard’s first release with the wines being made by owner Eric Jensen. Experience the best of Booker in the exclusive Cave Lounge fit for rock stars. Look and taste through history with an exposed calcareous limestone rock wall and access to their Founder’s personal library.
David Newell, GM of Torrin will graciously set up each tasting event for the winning bidder. Reservations will need to be made 2 months in advance. Blackout for all holiday periods. Expires March 2024. Guests under 21 years of age cannot be accommodated.

Twelve [12] bottles [750mL] Realm Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines, including two 5-year verticals, plus two 2014 single vineyard wines:
- Five-Year vertical of Realm The Bard, Napa Valley 2012 – 2016
- Five-Year vertical of Realm Cabernet Sauvignon “Farella Vineyard”, Napa Valley 2012 – 2016
- One bottle of Realm Cabernet Sauvignon “Houyi Vineyard”, Napa Valley 2014
- One bottle of Realm Cabernet Sauvignon “Beckstoffer Ranch To Kolan Vineyard”, Napa Valley 2014
Realm Cellars was founded in 2002 by Juan Mercado and Wendell Laidley. A massive warehouse fire in Napa in 2005 wiped out all of the 2003 vintage and all of the remaining 2002 vintage of Realm’s wines, along with many other wineries’ wines that were stored there. Realm still struggled along. Winemaker Benoit Touquette joined in 2011 when Michael Hirby, the first winemaker, departed. Scott Becker acquired control of the business in the summer of 2012. Although Juan Mercado stepped away from the business in 2019 to start a new project in Paso Robles based on Grenache, he still remains a partner in Realm. All throughout, Realm produced amazing highly-acclaimed wines as they do to this day. Benoit has tallied multiple 100-point ratings across the board on the wide variety of offerings produced under the Realm brand.
Many of you will remember the 2014 L’Amour du Vin. Kosta Browne, along with Realm and CIRQ (Michael Browne’s then new brand) paired up with the mesmerizing cuisine of Patrick O’Connell from the Inn at Little Washington. What a party that was! Juan and Michael made a lot of friends in Knoxville that night.
All of the wines in this lot were produced under Benoit’s incredible winemaking skill and while Juan Mercado was still the managing director of Realm. Let’s start with the 5-year vertical of The Bard – a Cabernet Sauvignon-based classic Bordeaux blend comprised of approximately 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with varying amounts of Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc depending on the vintage. Pundit ratings for the vertical were 99, 100, 97, 97 and 98 respectively. Did we mention that Benoit is an exceptional winemaker? The grapes for the “Farella vertical” come from Farella-Park Vineyards, founded in 1985 by Frank Farella. All of the Cabernet Sauvignon vines are farmed to Realm specifications and overseen by Realm’s vineyard manager. The pundit ratings for the Farella vertical are 96+, 98, 99, 98, and 98 respectively. Did we mention the consistent high quality of Benoit’s winemaking? The 2014 Houyi Vineyard is 100% Sauvignon. This well-known vineyard on Pritchard Hill just below David Arthur’s house had formerly been used for Arthur’s Elevation 1147 Cabernet. David sold it to the Nine Suns Winery, Several wineries made great wine from it, including Realm and Larry Fairchild. Realm acquired the Nine Suns operation in June 2022, so you know it is high quality. The rating for the 2014 Houyi was 98. Finally, complete books have been written about the history of the Beckstoffer Ranch and the storied vineyards previously owned by Robert Mondavi.
Today, Beckstoffer commands top dollar for his grapes from the various vineyards and To Kolan is the pinnacle. The 2014 To Kolan, also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, was rated 98 points. There’s that consistency thing again.
So, let’s recap. We have one 100, two 99’s, six 98’s, two 97’s and one measly 96+. What are you willing to pay for that? While you drink these wines, you can reminisce about that great 2014 party we had! If you weren’t fortunate to have attended that great event, you will have a glimpse of what you missed. BTW, you can ask David Hejl, tonight’s featured winery proprietor, about it – he was there with Michael Browne shortly before he left Kosta Browne to form his great Domaine Della.

- Dinner will be prepared by John Bryant and the staff of Bistro by the Tracks Catering
One of the oldest and most historically significant vineyard owners and wine producers in Northern California is the large Martinelli family that cultivates over 350 acres. Remarkably, 90% or more of their entire production is sold off to other wineries as the production of their Martinelli wines tends to be small, ranging from fewer than 100 cases to 500 – 600+. Since 1896, five generations of the family have worked together producing apples and wine in Sonoma County. Martinelli makes lots of great Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. This horizontal of the Martinelli offerings will include 3 different varietals – all single vineyard. Many of you might remember back to the 2010 L’Amour du Vin when Regina Martinelli introduced us to the wonderful world of Martinelli wines paired with the excellent cuisine of New York City’s chef Bill Telepan. But, we need to focus on Martinelli and this great lot. The wines in this 39-bottle horizontal (yes, you read that number correctly!) received excellent scores from Parker’s The Wine Advocate, Antonio Galloni, Wine Spectator, and Jeb Dunnuck. They ranged from 91 to the upper mid-90’s. Let’s face it, the Martinellis make amazing juice.
The food will be prepared by Chef John Bryant and the staff at Bistro by the Tracks Catering. The location, the fabulous rooftop at Sunspot Restaurant, or at the home of the winning bidder (your choice!).
You know the food will match these wonderfully expressive wines. We have the food. We certainly have the wine. What we need are friends (dinner for up to 16) and a negotiated date. All you have to do is buy it!

Coming from blocks located at 1,300 feet elevation in a protected saddle on Pritchard Hill, BRAND’s Proprietary Blend is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vintages, including those in this lot, consistently receive high critical acclaim and are enjoyable now with the structure to support extended aging.
The 2017 is blended of 65% Cabernet Franc and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and was fermented in stainless steel. It aged twenty-two months in French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep garnet-purple colored, it prances out of the glass with notes of kirsch, redcurrant jelly, mulberries and wild blueberries with touches of rose hip tea, star anise, candied violets and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate features an impressively plush texture and seamless freshness, finishing long with gorgeous fragrant earth scents. Rated 95 – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
The 2018 vintage is 63% Cabernet Franc and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromatic notes of pomegranate, dried roses and allspice give way to a palate brimming with flavors suggesting dark red fruit, milk chocolate, green tea and sandalwood. The wine possesses the structure and intensity to support extended aging along with the grace and silky texture for pleasurable drinking while young. Rated 96 – Wine Advocate.
The 2019 is a 62/38% assemblage of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon with scents of violets escaping from the glass, along with hints of cassis, purple raspberries and mocha. It’s full-bodied and richly textured but brighter and fresher-tasting than the 2018 and more energetic on the palate, with a long, softly dusty finish.” Rated 96+ – Wine Advocate.

Nestled on the pristine hillside vineyards of Knights Valley, is the uber-private and beyond stunning estate of Knights Bridge Winery – a highly-regarded, family-owned winery producing renowned wine from the estate vineyard since 2006.
Fifteen years in the making, the winery is only the second to ever be built in Knights Valley. Time the proprietors spent designing every detail with legendary Architect Howard Backen of Backen Gillam Architects (Ovid, Futo, and Bond among their other notable winery designs) with inspiration derived from the wild, natural beauty of Knights Valley and the sublime grandeur of Mt. St. Helena. In a sense, the space is indescribable. Elegantly understated architecture, dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass walls with breathtaking views. All aspects were designed with an immersive visitor experience in mind offering an elevated, private escape in a luxurious setting. So fabulous, the tasting salon was dubbed one of “The Most Exciting Tasting Room Openings of 2021” by Sonoma Magazine. Open only to a very limited number of visitors per day and unseen from the road, the winery is an enchanting place of retreat and respite with natural spaces to discover and a vineyard that is truly a hidden gem.
The winning bidder and five very lucky, wine-loving friends will stay in the beautiful, newly renovated Bailey Vineyard House (also designed by Howard Backen) on the estate property, which is a short 15-minute drive from downtown Calistoga. Two nights, three days of luxury in wine country! During the stay, guests will immerse themselves in the vineyard, guided by winemaker Derek Baljeu, then explore the new state-of-the-art production facility and grand barrel cave prior to being seated for an intimate, guided tasting experience in the art-filled, natural-light well tasting salon with local cheeses and charcuterie. Afterwards, guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner in the wine cellar at the private residence of proprietors Kelley and Jim Bailey, hosted by Director of Winemaking Douglas Danielak. The menu will highlight fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients prepared by their private chef, paired with library vintages of Knights Bridge wines. What an incredible itinerary! And it doesn’t stop there!
In addition, the winning bidder will take home an impressive magnum ideal for the serious collector (or celebration!) of 2014 Knights Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon. This gem unfolds slowly and will age gracefully. Expect dark, condensed aromas of red plum, black cherry, dusty cocoa, and vanilla abound on the nose; berry, cola, raspberry, and fig join in a tight middle core and a persistent finish on the palate. The wine is produced from the warmest viticultural region in the country, located in a narrow valley bordering the Mayacamas mountain range that divides Sonoma and Napa Counties – Knights Valley AVA. The valley’s beauty and mineral-rich volcanic rhyolitic (volcanic) soils help produce world-class Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc; wines that consistently earn acclaim from critics and wine lovers alike.
If you are looking for a world-class hospitality experience with exquisite wines, this is for you. Trust us, this will exceed your expectations in every way. Don’t miss this opportunity to escape to Knights Bridge!
Stay must be booked in advance; mutually agreeable date dependent upon county public health guidelines for COVID-19. Transportation not included. Expires 3/04/2024.

Two-time featured L’Amour du Vin winery Vineyard 7 & 8, was founded by the Steffens family in 1999 and named after proprietor Launny Steffens’ life and background in the world of finance with a theme encompassed by numerics, and a keen interest in numerology — “seven” being a number of luck in western culture, while “eight” follows the meanings of prosperity and happiness in eastern culture — Vineyard 7 & 8 is the culmination of the family’s pursuit for producing fine wines including 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Martha McClellan, winemaker for many notable brands, joined Vineyard 7 & 8 as Winemaker in 2014. Working alongside Associate Winemaker Wesley Steffens (Launny’s son and beloved friend to many longtime LDV patrons). Wesley will host the winning bidder and up to five guests for an incredibly special, private chef dinner at the winery’s estate atop Spring Mountain. The views from the tasting room are superb but will undoubtably be totally outdone by the quality of the wine pairings!
The 2017 is a deep garnet-purple color and has a slightly closed nose of baked red and black cherries. Rated 92 by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, this wine is delightful with a full-bodied, earthy finish. The 2018 offers a wealth of complex aromatics sure to please Cabernet aficionados. Nuances of black currant, black cherry, menthol, white pepper, cherry liqueur, and raw tobacco on the nose. The wine is bright, exuding both power and restraint. The tannins are powerful, yet well‐integrated, finishing very long. A nuanced and seductive wine that will show very well with a quick decant upon release and will age beautifully for 15‐20+ years. Earned 95-97+ points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. An incredible vintage! The 2019 follows showing that two truly remarkable vintages can come from back-to-back years. Starting with a very dark ruby red core, the nose explodes with red cherry compote, sweet black licorice, red currant, violet, white pepper, and well integrated notes of oak. On the palate the wine shows a very dense core of focused red fruits, black pepper, five spice, crushed espresso bean, all while presenting a vibrant fresh lift, structured tension, and a finish that continues well after the last taste. This is a wine that will show very well with a quick decant upon release, and continue to tell further stories for a solid 20+ years to come. Rated 95-97 by Antonio Galloni.
Wesley and Martha promise all three wines included here will evolve in the cellar for years to come. Don’t miss the opportunity to take home this special collection, visit the winery, and show our appreciation to Wes and his parents for many years of amazing support! Bid!

No wine collection is complete without a bottle of the impeccable “cult cab” Harlan Estate is known for. Harlan’s Estate Red is one of the most sought-after, highly-rated, and very, very good wines from Napa Valley. The vision of Harlan Estate is to produce a California “First Growth” from the hills of Oakville. H. William Harlan’s longtime and talented team is the reason for the exceptional wine – the creation of each vintage is the dual effort of Director of Winegrowing Bob Levy of Levy & McCellan (another highly-sought after label) and winemaker Cory Empting who served a five-year apprenticeship under Bob (now also winemaker at BRAND – again, a sought-after brand). So, you get the idea. Their talents and expertise capture the best of what the AVA has to offer.
Among the Cabernets of the 2017 vintage, Harlan Estate Napa Valley Red transcends. Robert Parker, James Suckling, Jeb Dunnuck, and Wine Spectator all rated this vintage a prodigious 97. Elegant layers of crème de cassis and blackberry unfurl at first taste, with tones of warm spices and earthy iron ore. Expect a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, lush tannins, and a long finish. As a collectible and hard-to-find wine, should you manage to hide this one away in a cellar for the next twenty to twenty-five years, it will only become more exquisite!
Also included with this lot is a rare tour of the winery’s enchanting Oakville estate, which sits on 250 hilly acres. The winning bidder and up to seven guests will soak in the breathtaking vineyard views, pondering how the majesty of nature is so interwoven into the grandeur of the grapevine and its fruit.
Date and time to be mutually agreed upon in advance; not available weekends and holidays.

Spottswoode Winery is one the absolute top Featured Vintners of L’Amour du Vin. They were the sole vintner in 2013 and one of three vintners in 2017. The Novak family have been very gracious to us. Better yet is the fact that they make outstanding wine. For this incredible dinner, Randy and Melissa have included 36 bottles featuring a 4-year vertical of the superb Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. The average rating for the vertical is 97 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. Among these, two wines (2016 and 2018) earned perfect scores from Jeb Dunnuck. Enough said! Plus, six bottles of Spottswoode 2019 Field Book Spring Creek Red Blend (their inaugural release), harvested from a tiny vineyard (only 2.2 acres) in a unique terroir known for compelling and interesting wines. Lastly, they’ve included six bottles of Spottswoode 2019 Sauvignon Blanc. Named in honor of the late Mary Weber Novak, who established Spottswoode (her daughters Mary and Lindy are now at the helm), only 120 cases of this vintage were bottled. Spottswoode wines are especially known for their refined elegance, balance, and classic structure. What else is there to say? Let’s move on to the grub!

One jeroboam (Bordeaux) [5L] bottle Domaine Della 2018 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir; etched prenumbered 1 of 1 (only 1 made!) and signed by Vintner David Hejl.
Domaine Della is the luxury label of David Hejl, former CEO and General Manager of Kosta Browne one of the featured wineries of LDV 2014. In fact, David joined us for LDV 2014 with Michael Browne and this year returns as the Featured Vintner under his own label for this special anniversary year – how lucky are we!?
The mission of Domaine Della is to craft intense, adventurous, and distinctive Pinot Noir and old-world Grand Cru Burgundian-style Chardonnay, partnering with the very best growers, a true expression in harmony and balance from the place where they were grown. The label’s wines are extremely limited in production and sourced from the finest vineyards in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, and Santa Lucia Highlands.
Named in honor of David’s mother Della, the label’s most recent release marks the winery’s 10th vintage. All wines, from its inaugural 2012 vintage in 2014 to the 2020 offering, have received scores of 90-96+ from wine critics and are sold out.
Including the 2018 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir offered here! A sensational and classic vintage for Sonoma, 2018 featured a long, even growing season and perfect, cool, weather through harvest – boasting complex, nuanced, and layered wines by top producers. Domaine Della among them!
This spectacular 5L bottle is a showstopper! The only one of its size bottled of this release (etched number 1 of 1) and signed by David who serves both as the proprietor and winemaker for the label. The wine is just as special as the bottle exhibiting aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and spice; on the palate generous black cherry, wild raspberry, blueberry, and earthy minerality. Mouthful is ample and plush giving depth with a lingering velvety finish. Barreled 15 months in 45% new French Oak.
Top marks from critics, rated: 92 – Jeb Dunnuck, 92 – Erin Brooks for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, 91 – James Suckling, and 93 – Wine Enthusiast. Virginie Boon of Wine Enthusiast describes as crisp red fruit, citrus, and blueberry brighten a core of biting acidity in this coastal appellation wine, impressive in texture and length. Coated in cinnamon, nutmeg, and black tea, it offers the best of the variety’s fruit and savory components.
An expressive, elegant wine with top marks from critics in a special botting only the winning bidder will be the collector of. A thrilling, one-of-a-kind offering from this year’s honored vintner. Let’s show David and Domaine Della our appreciation! Bid high!

Untitled (for K.S.P./T./M.A.D.), 2022
Acrylic on canvas, 36×44 inches
Knoxville-born Hamlett Dobbins’ inventive abstract paintings are sparked by vivid memories of specific experiences in his daily life. The initials in his titles, for instance, refer to persons or places responsible for what the artist refers to as “rare moments of profound pleasure.” Dobbins, who has battled depression since middle school, uses such moments as uplifting sources of inspiration for painted compositions in which he breaks down recollections into small, “bite-sized pieces” in order to “savor them and maybe understand them a little better.” Along the way, he often finds meaningful connections and “unexpected harmony” between people and places that have shaped his life’s path.
In Untitled (for K.S.P./T./M.A.D.), Dobbins explores subtle variations in edge, color, pattern, density, and texture, and spatial relationships and their ability to produce certain emotional responses. After manipulating both drawn and photographic imagery on his computer, Dobbins then transfers his digital sketch onto canvas grid-by-grid.

Three-Night Stay for 3 Couples at the DANA Estates Crystal House; including lunch or dinner for six at the winery estate.
Nestled at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains, DANA Estates is one of Napa’s most desirable boutique wineries and among one of Napa’s newest wave of iconic cult-wine producers. Pronounced “da-nuh,” the winery’s namesake means ‘spirit of generosity’ in the classical South Asia language Sanskrit. It is in this spirit that proprietors Hi Sang Lee and Jae Chun share a profound appreciation for the legacy of the estate and the vintners who worked the land for generations, blending history and tradition with cutting-edge vineyard management, a new state-of-the-art winery, and artisanal winemaking.
Philippe Melka, among a handful of superstars responsible for cult wines, has been the consulting winemaker since the inaugural vintage. Along with Cameron Vawter, they have long delivered a series of successful DANA wines – and high scores – performing exceptionally well in blind tastings, winning out against a number of cult pioneers. The winery is dedicated to producing distinctive, world-class, and age-worthy wines from three very small production estate properties – Helms Vineyard (Rutherford), Hershey Vineyard (Howell Mountain), and Lotus Vineyard (Howell Mountain) – each known for their precision, purity, freshness, balance, and expression of place.
Lee, a longtime lover and collector of Napa Valley wine, spared no effort to create the perfect wine estate when it was founded in 2005. His motto “plus one” and desire to be the best are evident in all aspects of the estate. The winery occupies land in the heart of famed Rutherford Bench, where Helms is grown, and is housed in an exquisite reenvisioning of a once-ruined 1883 ghost winery (stone wineries built before prohibition). The winery was re-designed by renowned architect Howard Backen (who also designed Poetry Inn and Harlan Estate) preserving the original stone walls as its centerpiece. After all the renovations, the old ghost winery is now a beautiful blend of history and sophisticated elegance with clean, modern lines and subtle Asian influences.
At this staggeringly beautiful estate, you and your guests will spend three nights in DANA Estates’ exceptional Crystal House (off Silverado Trail just below Lotus Vineyard on Howell Mountain). The contemporary home features an infinity pool, chef’s kitchen, fireplace, expansive lounging spaces, and sweeping views of surrounding vineyards and olive groves; a beautiful place to rest and play over the course of your stay. During your time in Napa, DANA Estates will host you and your guests for a private tour and tasting at the winery followed by a private dinner with special wines being poured throughout the evening.
In summary, taste some of the world’s most expensive, super-premium wines; stay in exquisite accommodations; and indulge in private winery experiences – WOW. An incredible offering certainly in the ‘spirit of generosity’ from our friends at DANA Estates. Wait, did we just come full circle? Trust us, there’s more to come! As Lee would say, “plus one” 😉

Webb’s beautiful and painstaking artistry is shown in the some three dozen cabins he built that are still standing today. The Highlands’ Joe Webb cabins are not cookie cutter; each one is unique and a work of art. The structure is adorned with intricate laurel and rhododendron branch work on the porch, balcony, and stairway. The interior is as notable as the exterior because Webb made much of the furniture for the cabin including table, chairs, and bed frames crafted from local golden and silver birch. Webb’s distinctive style and workmanship are still recognized as something rare.
The three-bedroom, two-bath cabin features a spacious living area with a beautiful fireplace and a two-story stone mantle that is open to the dining area. The large back porch is perfect for enjoying coffee or cocktails. It has a master bedroom on the main level with 2 double beds and a private bathroom that shares with the living area. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with 2 double beds that share a bathroom. The cabin is authentic except for new stainless-steel appliances and central heat. Ceiling fans provide comfort in the summer months. A mutually agreeable date may be determined between the homeowner and winning bidder. Available the months of April-November. Expires April 30, 2024.
